Harmonica Slim is an experienced frontman who has toured extensively with both Slim & the Perkolators and Billy the Kid & the Regulators, bringing his hard-driving blues style from Canada to Florida. The articulate swagger of hard-bop meets a local dialect in this quintet, which features Tony Miceli on vibraphone, Chris Farr on tenor saxophone, John Swana on trumpet, Madison Rast on bass, and Dan Monaghan on drums. The group’s cohesion on the bandstand comes naturally due in part to their 30-year history. Individually, they have appeared on numerous recordings and have each toured extensively worldwide. Their music is a joyful celebration of swing and bebop, deeply rooted in the rich history of Philadelphia. Prepare to be transported by their infectious energy and love for the music.
Thrilled to have these guys back. The band was established in Doylestown in 1988 and has been consistently performing Chicago and West Coast Jump Swing Blues throughout the region and beyond. They won the Blues Foundation's 2019 International Blues Challenge in Memphis in the Best Self Produced CD category for our "Lock Up the Liquor" release. They were also inducted into the PA Blues Hall of fame in 2016.
